This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students these days do not always experience the fine motor skill development children once did. In the past, children were consistently involved in sports, playing yard games, and even board games they would strengthen their hands and develop the fine motor skills so important to playing a musical instrument. Todays children are not nearly as inclined or able to benefit from those playtime activities.

Instead of just dealing with the way things are, I would like to provide a way for my school's young violin players to grow in fine motor skills without the usual pain and discomfort.

Affixing these Bowmaster violin bow grips to my beginning violin students' bows will foster an appropriate violin grip WITHOUT the typical muscle stress and soreness typically associated with beginning the violin.
