This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello! As a kindergarten teacher it is my job to help build the foundation for all skills that my students will learn thought out their educational career. From their ABCs, 123, to various 21st Century Skills.

21st Century skills are skills all students will need to develop from a young age.

In my classroom, one of the ways that we do this is by introducing the various ways that we can use technology. We are fortunate enough to have a class set of iPads. However, our headphones are beginning to fall apart. They also have thin cords which means that with slight movement the sounds goes away. We are constantly struggling with sound and this becomes an issue when we are doing assessments on our devices. It is important for all students to have adequate testing environment and we cannot have that if they do not have properly working headphones.

The kids also love using the iPads for reading and math games when they have free choice time.
