My Project

My students come from the five boroughs in the City of New York. Our community serves students in the Special Education sector. This means that students with significant disabilities are provided with the least restrictive environment in general education settings with special education support.

My students are empowered to become capable and contributing citizens in an integrated, changing, and diverse society.

For our cooking club, we believe that encouraging children with Autism to develop cooking skills that not only benefit their health, but also help them build confidence and become more independent. With plenty of practice, visual demonstrations, and patience, My student population may grow to love the joy of cooking!
