Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In my fourth grade classroom, there is diversity in background and learning styles. Some of my students came to this country knowing no English, but with their hard work and dedication, they have improved and want to keep improving for their own benefit.
In this class, we are seeking improvement in literacy and branching out to other contents through literature.
These students are interested in various topics, genres, and learning new vocabulary. When the students find interesting reading, they inquire for more information, and they are ecstatic to share with their peers.
My Project
My students will use the books during guided reading to build fluency in literacy for when they have to read by themselves. My classroom library does not have a big collection of books to choose from. With these books students will be engaged as they are fanatics of real life situations and animal stories.
Donations to this project will help improve students' understanding and academic achievement in reading.
As the teacher, I have come to know that this will help as a gateway for building sharp readers for the future.
