My Project

I provide speech language services to children with various developmental disorders. My students are visual learners and thrive in an environment that provides opportunities for multi sensory learning. Some of my students struggle with communication skills and difficulty regulating their emotions. Art helps them engage, focus, communicate through images, and self soothe.

My students love art because it’s non restrictive and allows them to learn, think, and communicate in a fun and creative way.

This projects will give my students access to a variety of art materials for multi sensory learning. The holiday craft kits will allow them to explore various textures while following directions to complete structured tasks. The art projects will be used during small group activities which provides opportunities for effective social interaction. The chosen supplies will allow my students to express themselves creatively using both visual and verbal forms of communication.
