Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year our sixth graders are looking forward to reading multiple books as a class, in small groups, and individually throughout the year. We go through a book together while focusing on story specific vocabulary and book genres to deepen our love of reading. Experiencing new genres and doing engaging reports help to move students out of their comfort zone and begin seeking new types of books on their own.

The Westing Game is a classic sixth grade thriller that will keep them interested until the end.

I personally have loved this book since I read it with my class in sixth grade and try to read it with a group of my own students each year. By getting a class set of books along with erasable pens to use our entire group can enjoy this exciting story.
