Help me give my students choice. In previous years, all students read "The Diary of Anne Frank" by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett regardless of reading level or interest. With these novels, we can do literature circles.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
With a significant range in reading ability, my students need differentiated material to push them without frustrating them.
By giving them structured choices, these books will give my students a chance to grow their reading abilities while reaching more of their intrinsic interests.
My students are generally averse to reading for enjoyment, but when they like a book, they devour it. They'll read ahead, they'll talk about it between classes, during lunch, and after school. If they can have some choice in the material, they're more likely to enjoy it.
