My Students

Every day we split into small groups to study reading a literature skills. Scholars like to work independently to learn the skill we learned in whole group. As the scholars work in small groups, leveled group gets an opportunity to work with the teacher in focused way.

My students love to work in centers!

They are very good at looking at their assignment chart and doing what their group is assigned to. They help each other notice what they should be doing and use accountable talk. Literature centers help me to know what students can do independently without having to give them a written test. This kind of formative assessment is very helpful!!

My Project

The materials I have requested are things that will help with the running of literacy centers. The flyer stands will post the expectations for the center. The pocket charts will direct students to the correct center. The stand will help the directives be portable and displayed wherever they need to be in the classroom.

While students are doing an excellent job at their independent work, their efforts could be enhanced.

These materials will help students see greater success in literacy. Thank you in advance for considering to donate to these kids!
