Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The books I am requesting for our classroom library will make a significant difference in my students' learning by providing them with a rich selection of texts that engage their imaginations and foster a love for reading.

The goal of this project is to create an engaging and diverse classroom library that sparks a passion for reading in my first-grade students.

I aim to provide books that cater to a variety of reading levels and interests, allowing students to build confidence in their reading skills. By offering well-loved series that my students already know and love, I hope to foster a sense of excitement around books, encouraging them to read more frequently.

My first-grade students are incredibly special because of their enthusiasm, creativity, and curiosity. At this stage in their academic journey, they are starting to unlock the magic of reading and are filled with excitement as they explore new stories and characters. Many of my students are just beginning to recognize themselves as readers, and seeing their progress is incredibly rewarding.
