Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The Crimson Quarterly, our newly founded literary magazine, hopes to create an inclusive art and literature publication that highlights the creativity and intellect of our students. Our ultimate goal is to have a place where everyone's voice is valued.

We also hope to teach students the editing, proofreading, and publishing process.

Students will gather to edit submissions and seek approval from the original authors. Students are also going to meet to determine the layout order for publishing.

The Brother printer, ink, drum unit, and paper requested help meet our end goal of having a tangible product for all Jackson students to read and cherish. Editors will be physically printing and publishing student work.
