My Students
Minute after minute after minute turns into hour after hour. The kids stare at the computer screen waiting for the paintings to scan. Rather than wait the hours it takes to scan all of the art they selected for the magazine, they cut. With those cuts goes amazing work that their peers created.
My students are 6th, 7th, and 8th graders from a middle school in Massachusetts.
They are eager to learn and love technology! A lot of them are visual learners, so having something like a Smartboard is key. I will be able to use it more often with a document camera. Some of them run a literary magazine to which the entire school contributes.
My Project
My request is a very simple one! I would like a document camera so that we can use the Smartboard a lot more often in class. I would also like it for the kids' literary magazine. More students' work would be allowed into the magazine if it didn't take as long to scan the pieces.
If I receive this camera, 1200 students will be impacted.
My own students will be able to learn in an interactive way, and more work from the entire study body will be proudly published in our literary magazine!
