Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students learn best with hands on tools in any subject. The critical foundational skills learned in first grade such as rhyming, blending, and isolating and segmenting syllables will be explored with the use of magnetic letters, puzzles, and CVC unifix cubes.

An interactive and tactile approach by making words with magnets and rhyming with puzzles provides opportunities for my students to use varied modalities of learning.

They will sit comfortably on the rug and use the many literacy tools requested in this project to increase their phonics and word recognition skills.
