Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The second graders in my classroom arrive each day full of joy and excitement for learning. They are special because, as a result of interrupted learning during the pandemic, they value school and all that it has to offer. My students want to learn, grow, make friends, and have new experiences at school.

I want to offer them an educational experience rich in content and steeped in joy.

The art supplies I am requesting will help us bring our reading and writing units to life with art projects. In our nonfiction reading unit studying Latin American countries we will craft Dominican drums, Guatemalan flags, and coqui frog puppets using these supplies.

These art projects will bring joyful art to our daily learning.
