Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students belong to a very small Title I school in the largest school district in Florida. My classroom is shared between twenty-seven very inquisitive, 2nd-4th grade gifted students. All of whom love to read, learn, and explore.

These kids come from very diverse backgrounds and deserve the best education I can provide.

The desire to learn and excel from each student is something I admire and love to witness as their enrichment teacher.

I have worked extremely hard to provide my classroom with as many learning materials as possible; however, there are a few that we need some assistance obtaining.

My Project

The variety of math and science books will be used to engage my students in lessons that would otherwise be considered boring. Students will see how the science topics and math lessons taught in class relate to the real world.

Help me expose my students to literacy with every math and science lesson.

Help them go on an adventure with every book. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
