My Students

In California, we can work and learn outdoors year-round. We have been working hard creating a lovely patio space including a community and multicultural mural and planting trees and flowers.

We are a small involved neighborhood school.

The children come on a few Saturdays during the year for school beautification days. With only 550 children in the school, we really have a sense of family. The children love to take books and games out to the patio to work with parents and community volunteers!

My Project

On beautiful sunny days, it is so relaxing to go outside and enjoy the fresh air. Children are eager to work their hardest so they will be able to go work outside and spend some one on one time with me or a volunteer. Once the umbrella is up providing shade, the children will be able to see their books and games much easier. With the tablet, the students will be able to use the latest technology to build their reading skills.

If we were able to add some shade and technology to this wonderful opportunity, the children would truly thrive!

They would work even harder to be able to go learn in the great outdoors!
