My Students

As an inclusion teacher, I work with students who receive extra academic supports. The students are always eager to learn, and come ready to learn, and push through even when they are frustrated. It has only been six weeks of school and I have already learned so much from them.

This year, we are focusing on writing, so that our students can express themselves whether it be through storytelling or through writing persuasive arguments.

As students learn how to become stronger writers, they also become stronger readers, as they will understand the purposeful writing through the author's perspective.

My Project

These materials will make the learning more fun for my students. I believe students learn best when they interact with the objectives and skills they are learning in various ways. Furthermore, as I am an inclusion teacher, I only see the students when I am scheduled to support them. I think that the notebooks will be a great resource for the students, as the interactive notebooks will be a place they can look during writing time.

It is crucial for students to have access to materials that are challenging but not frustrating to them.

These materials will support their learning so that the general curriculum will become more accessible and they will become resources to support them throughout the year.
