Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are all girls at our school! They love showing teamwork. They care about each other and about their scores in class. They enjoy healthy academic debate, and they love great peer competition. I would love to utilize the sight words listed to help students construct sentences on their own, as they learn to develop complex essays by the end of the year. The puzzle pieces will give them a creative way to write that is engaging.

I plan to utilize stations, hands-on activities, and small group stations to help them feel connected to each other and to their teachers.

The pencils, sharpener, and timer will create investment, joy, and excitement each time they come to my class. They will always be prepared, with these materials ready for them to learn.

And when they have feelings to express, they can reflect with the emotions fidget toys, breathe, and return to learning. I want them to feel seen in their achievement daily!
