My Project

4th Grade Literacy Community Service Project

WES’s 4th graders are excited to give back to their school through a Literacy Community Service Project!

This initiative allows students to become literacy leaders, helping to promote reading and writing among younger peers.

How We Will Help:

• Reading Buddies: 4th graders will pair up with younger students to read aloud, helping them build confidence and fluency.

• Writing Mentors: Our students will assist younger grades in writing activities, offering encouragement and support.

• Book Drive: To expand access to books, 4th graders will help collect and organize gently used books for classroom libraries.

• Storytelling Events: Students will share their favorite books through read-aloud sessions, bringing stories to life for younger learners.

Why It Matters:

By serving as literacy role models, 4th graders reinforce their own skills while inspiring a love of reading in others. This project fosters leadership, empathy, and a sense of community within our school.

We are proud of our 4th graders for making a difference through literacy!
