Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My little learners are so eager to be at school each and every day. Our favorite things in the classroom are technology, music, movement, and art. These four aspects of our daily activities engages their little feet, hands, and huge imaginations!

As special education students with varying disabilities, it is always exciting to see different way in which my students interact with resources around them.

Most of them can be sensitive with sensory activities so having the flexibility of different materials in the classroom gives each student an opportunity to delve into their creative and artistic little minds.

My Project

These materials will help enhance our classroom resources that we already have at our disposal. The little brains of our students can always use a big boost of hands on activities to allow them to have a kinesthetic experience.

Our classroom goal is always to give our students the most opportunities to interact with their classroom in their own individual ways.

The felt stories will allow us to interact with popular children's literature right at our fingertips. They allow my students to participate in retelling stories at their own pace and allow them to physically manipulate characters. The fine motor activities will give my students the opportunity to practice their math skills, engage in sensory exploration and work on social skills as the participate with peers practicing turn taking and cooperation.
