Help Mrs. Thomas

I am a strong advocate for a literature rich classroom environment. I have an area of my room which I have made into a "Literacy Lounge". My students have many opportunities to visit the "Literacy Lounge" during the school day. This area currently has a collection of classroom books, a listening center, and a beanbag chair. My objective is to make this area a more inviting and warm area of the classroom. I would like to furnish it will a small area rug, two lamps, a free-standing bookcase, and two more beanbag chairs. I would also like to use a small CD player to have classical music played quietly to create a relaxing and enriching mood. Thank you for your help in making our room a special place for our students through our "Literacy Lounge"!
