This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing; they have an overwhelming desire to learn. They love to learn new things and share their ideas. Opening their minds and hearts to accept the world around them. They have so many bright and loving personalities.

I teach at a Title I school in the Bronx where many of my students receive free breakfast and lunch, despite the hardships they face at home my students come to school ready and eager to learn about the world around them.

My Project

Literacy opens the eyes of the students, to new and exciting things. In literature circles, students will be able to read and discuss the books. Sharing their thoughts about different genres.

Students will use these books as a window to the world of literary genres.

Students will be able to enjoy the discussion that each book creates. Students will develop questions as they read. While students will work in groups, each student will choose a role. They will discuss and share ideas and thoughts about the books. They will create their own assignments that will be cooperative learning decision of the group.
