My Project

As a coach, I work in dual language classrooms. These classrooms should have the same access to literacy books and resources as their English-only classrooms. Dual language students, who are learning more than one language, develop a stronger sense of identity and have a greater appreciation for both their own and others' cultures. Socially, children in dual language programs gain a deeper understanding of global and social issues, while also valuing diverse perspectives.

These dual-language books will help my students become fully immersed in two languages.

Translanguaging plays a crucial role in learning and development. With these books, students can strengthen their biliteracy and dual language skills. In short, learning a second language isn’t just beneficial for language acquisition—it also enhances brain function, making you smarter, more adaptable, and better at problem-solving.
