My students need new Literacy games in order to make learning more fun. Our students learn better in small groups. These games will help our students to practice their literacy skills and strategies!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Each child in our classroom is unique and they are all learning to love learning! We want to instill good learning habits in every single student. The best way to do this is to fill the classroom with exciting and high interest materials.
We cannot wait to see our students faces light up when they see all of the new learning materials they will be able to get their hands on.
Help us make learning fun for all of our students!
My Project
We need some new literacy games to help make learning and practicing reading even more exciting and fun! We know that our students learn better in smaller groups. These cooperative learning games will give our students time to practice their reading skills and strategies in a fun environment.
Students will use these literacy games to reinforce all of the skills and strategies that they learn in both Reader's Workshop and Guided Reading.
Through play, our class will be able to practice skills such as predicting, summarizing and questioning. They will learn more about how to find the main idea, how to infer feelings and traits, how to tell what the author means and many other skills. The games will also help the students to learn how to work together cooperatively. These skills will help the students in all of their future work as well.
