Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class are a group of 24 kindergarteners excited for school and needing the support and tools to thrive. Two thirds of my class come from low income homes. Majority of students are Hispanic and English language learners. For many students, this is their first school experience.

Our class needs hands-on learning supplies to create an engaging and fun literacy experience.

Literacy is one of my main focuses in my class because this is where the students have the greatest need. During literacy centers, students engage in reading activities with the teacher and interactive games and tasks with classmates or independently. Our class needs new literacy puzzles such as spelling words to match the pictures, letter matching, rhyming matching, literacy games such as boggle or sight word pop, and magnetic board activities for word work.

Please help me give my students the classroom activities they deserve to be successful in literacy. I want to create an environment where they can have fun while learning. Any amount will help make a difference for my students.
