My Students

My students are from low income families in Akron, Ohio. I teach Pre-K with 18 students in the morning and 18 students in the afternoon. My four and five year olds are full of curiosity. I want to give them new experiences to help them achieve success.

My Project

During our small groups, we always have literacy, math, and fine motor groups. Learning letters and sounds are an area of concern with my students based on my Fall baseline data.

I am requesting various letter and word activities for my students.

During choice time, I would have a table for these letter activities for my students to practice and explore. My classroom is based on Kindergarten Readiness. I need to provide as many literacy experiences and literacy learning resources to develop their letter and sound identification. This donation will increase early literacy fundamentals leading to success in Kindergarten and literacy future.
