Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are lovers of learning. Learning ignites their minds and leaves them wanting to know more every day.

These students come from a low socioeconomic background, and we are a Title One school which means that students receive free or reduced-price lunch.

These students come to school everyday with a desire to learn and grow. They have many different learning styles and need resources to help them reach their various learning goals.

Despite the challenges they face, they know that school is important and education is the key to success!

My Project

Students in our school are substantially behind in their reading levels due to the pandemic. They need tools and resources to help them fill the gaps and make gains in their learning.

These literacy tools will give the students hands-on learning experiences to help them blend words together, find patterns to help them to decode tricky words and to work on their overall reading comprehension.

The goal is for students to have a reading toolkit to help them become expert readers and to boost their self esteem and confidence as readers.
