My Students

My students are eager to learn and it is my job to make sure they have the resources they need to be successful!

My students come from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.

Many of them are learning English for the first time. Some of my students come from generational poverty and they WILL be the first to graduate high school. Regardless of the barriers that my students are facing, they all come to school excited to learn.

My Project

With your help my students will have the materials they need to learn how to read and close the achievement gap. Letters, dry erase boards, and literacy materials will allow each student the opportunity to practice the prerequisite skills they need to learn how to read. My students will no longer have to shout "it is mine", "I don't have that.." Instead each child will have a set!

Kindergarten sets the foundation for years to come.

I would like to push my incoming preschoolers to leave my class as readers of the next generation. My students will no longer look at books as just an item that someone reads to them. Instead, I hope to instill the job of putting words together to make sentences. Using sentences to write their own stories. This journey starts a letter at a time but with 26 letters for each student, we can build a Love of Literacy For All.
