My Project

This year our 2nd grade team has decided to have some fun this fall. We are wanting to do some fun literacy projects that tie in science skills as well. First we would like to do a Spookly the Square Pumpkin project where we will read the book, talk about the characteristics of a pumpkin, and then make a yummy Spookly snack. Another project we would like to do is Jack the Pumpkin. We will read the book, talk about the life cycle of a pumpkin, carve a pumpkin, and then over the next month watch the stages of the pumpkin as it decomposes. All the materials in this project are to help make those fun fall projects come to life.

These materials will help our students enjoy literacy and science, and allow us to have a bit more fun in our everyday learning environment.
