This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students deserve high quality literature as they learn and grow a passion for reading! Our current classroom books are dated from the 1970’s! New, updated texts will allow students to have mirrors to relate to their reality and windows to other genres, cultures and real world life outside of the classroom. We serve diverse learners, including many English language learners and these books will tremendously help increase all students reading levels as well as introduce them to many cross curricular concepts. These books will also allow students to have reading materials at home.
