My Students

The super 2nd graders are a group of 24 students in the upper west side of Manhattan. It is an ICT classroom comprised of general education and special education students.

The super 2nd graders are an eager group of students with a love of learning.

They enjoy reading and writing about new topics and utilizing technology to research these new and exciting areas of study. The super 2nd graders are a group of wonderful students eager to try new things and learn new information every day!

My Project

My students are off to an amazing start growing their reading and writing abilities this year! They need extra materials and games to reinforce literacy concepts. These materials will be used in small groups as well as independently.

With the use of these engaging materials, literacy concepts will be reinforced at different centers.

For instance, students can word on rhyming words with the sorting game, CVC words with the tiles, and phonemic awareness with the magnetic tiles.

Additional materials will be used to stock the literacy centers and make sure the materials are set up appropriately and are student-friendly. The literacy centers should be easily accessible for the students to take charge of their own learning.
