My Students

Kindergarten is when most students have their first introduction to reading and writing. In order to support and inspire my students, I need materials that engage as they are learning to read.

In our school, 57% of the students receive free or reduced price meals.

I have 24 kindergartners who are eager to learn. For many of my students, kindergarten is their first school experience. I want to create a school environment that fosters their curiosity and love of learning.

My Project

I would like to have a set of sight word puzzles and sight word tactile cards to help my students use the senses of touch and sight in their early introduction to print literacy. I need a complete set of "Instant Literacy Centers" and Sight-Word Puzzles . These centers and puzzles have everything children need to build beginning language skills, from word building and rhyming sounds to sight-word recognition.

Literacy games make learning to read fun.

I think that it is important for my kindergartners to have fun so they are more open to learning and they take advantage of the concepts and skills that they learned as they adapt and build on them.
