Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are truly amazing kids. I have the pleasure of working with the same students from last year. They are in a 1st grade Spanish dual language program. We have established a relationship of trust and unity. We work together and help our peers. We have fostered the quote:

"Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much."

They don't hesitate to help their peers or work together when problem solving. My students come from a vibrant low-income community and are eager to learn. My students are the most loving and deserving students that you could meet. Please help us by donating, and let's work together in unity because together we can achieve more!

My Project

Students truly love center time! This is the time they get to work independently or with a partner on skills and strategies that we have been practicing. They look forward to center time. The literacy activities will help my students tremendously. These literacy centers are used daily in my classroom. The activities are engaging and effective. They help students with the fundamental skills they need to be successful. Students will be working with building sight words, sentences, and CVC words. They will practice these skills while having fun with these literacy activities.
