Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm hoping to develop two areas in the lives of our students: literacy, and science (cognitive development). I aim to do that with a literacy lesson with "Pete the Cat" and then take that lesson outside to have the students draw about their favorite part of the story with sidewalk chalk, utilizing all the brilliant colors available in the chalk set. Additionally, I want to help the students develop a better understanding about what bubbles are made of and how we can make them ourselves, as well as having some good old-fashioned fun chasing bubbles around the yard. My overall goal is to continue to make learning fun, which is the most crucial part of our play-based curriculum. Thanks for your help!
