My Students
I am a teacher in a low-income/high-poverty school district where my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
I may not be able to control their home lives; however, I can certainly control their experiences during the school day.
From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hoping to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
My students are eager learners. The matching puzzles will encourage self correcting math and literacy skills. It will build confidence and independence in my students. The foam water blocks will allow for a fun break at the water table but also allow my students to work on balancing, colors, shapes, and structures. The science viewers will encourage meaningful conversation and teach my students living science and reinforce turn taking. All of the materials will enhance our learning.
I am willing to do anything to make learning fun for my students.
