My Students

Starting kindergarten remotely is definitely not ideal but my students come to class every day excited and ready to learn. My class consists of 27 students, 12 of which will be coming back for in-person learning. 92% of the student population is low-income and all students receive free lunch.

My Project

ESL students who have a hunger for learning and getting back to normal. My kindergarten classroom is full of curious young learners who can't wait to get back to the classroom so they can learn and have fun with their friends.

I am requesting cushions for my students to sit on during whole group teaching because I don't have a classroom rug.

They will also be able to sit on these cushions while they're engaged in literacy and/or math centers. These cushions will provide students with comfort and help them feel safe knowing that what they're sitting on is clean since they will be responsible for disinfecting their own cushions.

The books that I am requesting are nonfiction leveled readers. Students will be learning facts about animals while improving their reading skills. These books will help my students achieve a high-quality reading environment that will expose them to science, literature, and math. My goal is to inspire lifelong readers and further develop reading comprehension skills.

The puzzles that I am requesting are for students to use during math centers after they have finished their work. These high-quality products will keep my students engaged while they're learning and having fun.
