My Students

I am a teacher in a low-income/high-poverty school district where my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

I may not be able to control their home lives; however, I can certainly control their experiences during the school day.

From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hoping to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.

My Project

During these hard times, I want to make learning as fun as possible. The sensory water toys will be used to incorporate cause and effect at the water table. The pogo jumper and sensory balls will add some fun to our outdoor gross motor time. The shape sorter, truck, and ball drop will be used during centers. These materials will allow my students to learn while having fun at the same time.

My students mean the world to me and any materials will enhance learning in our classroom and allow my students to develop a love for school.
