Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The school year has just begun and my second graders are ready to learn! Since the first day of school, my students have been eager to learn. They came to school excited and wanting to tell me what they would like to learn this school year.

My students are ENL students from various backgrounds.

They are still learning how to speak English, some are struggling and some are not but, what they all have in common is the will to learn.

My Project

My students are ENL students and they are trying really hard to learn the English language. To master a language, you must master the four main areas of the langauge: listening, speaking, reading and writing. My students need a radio to work on their listening skills. The bluetooth headphones will allow them to listen and work from their seat, where they are more comfortable.

Listening is a skill that can only be mastered with patience and practice.

The storage center will make the listening center more portable and accessible to all the students. The activity game we are requested will also help us along our language journey.
