Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Some of our greatest memories are having a bedtime story read to us. In a very busy world not everyone gets to understand the joy of having a story read to them. Help my students learn what it is to enjoy listening to a great tale!

I have 25 amazing and wonderful students.

They are children who are learning English as their second language, because of this they face many challenges when it come to their education. But they are strong and work hard each and every day. Our school is 100% free and reduced. As teachers we provide as much as we can for our students, but we appreciate all of the help we get from our community and volunteers. We hope that you can help us as well!

My Project

I am requesting help to purchase personal CD players and headphones for my students. They will use these during our guided reading time. This is a time where students have the opportunity to read and write on their own. Being able to listen to stories will give them the opportunity to develop listening skills and to understand and comprehend stories in a different way.

We appreciate anything and everything you can do to help our classroom.

We are very grateful for donors and I know that this will help encourage my students' love of reading and help them pick different types of media to enjoy.
