My Students

I work at an inner city school that I thoroughly enjoy!

This school has great support from our administration, our secretaries, teachers, Para pros, and especially our parents! I am so lucky to work at a school with so much support.

Our school is very diverse, which is one thing I enjoy about it. It is located in a wonderful neighborhood with great neighbors who also come and help when needed! We have so much support but we still need so much!

My Project

During my station time, my students have a choice to listen to reading. My students love this station! They enjoy listening to reading! Listening to reading helps with their fluency and word recognition.

In my class, I also have many ESL students.

As I watch my students listening to reading, they often are smiling and singing along with the story. It brings joy to my heart!

These students need materials that will help them learn the English Language. I'm requesting five portable CD players, and a variety of books on CD including Frog and Toad, The Best of Fancy Nancy, Stone Soup, How Their Food?, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Green Eggs and Ham, Aladdin and The Good Dinosaur. These players and books will help my students tremendously and will be used every day throughout the entire year!
