This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love listening to stories! There are so many amazing books they'd love to experience but first graders don't yet have all the skills to read complex texts independently. Help me get the supplies my students need to listen to a variety of books in our classroom library.

Students find the joy of reading by listening to books they are interested in.

Listening to complex texts is also an important way my students build oral language and learn new vocabulary. I love to give my students activities that they enjoy while also helping them build the skills they need to be successful in school.
