Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are curious, creative, and hardworking. They love to learn new things. Our school focuses on serving economically disadvantaged students by providing an exceptional education that prepares all students for college, career, and life. One of the ways we accomplish this is to create a classroom culture that values our diverse backgrounds and races. We spend time every day working in groups and partnerships to build a bond and help each other learn. My students enjoy reading and working with their peers.

My Project

We use computers during Math time. Each student has an individualized Math program as well as games they play to practice Math skills.

The headphones will make it easier for students to focus on their own work and not get distracted by other students.

When students don't have headphones the whole class can hear the computer, which causes other students to loose focus. Last year, we just turned the sound down, but that made is impossible to use some of the programs where sound is integral. I am looking forward to have headphones for all the students this year with your help.
