In my classroom, students are challenged to think about the world in which they live from multiple perspectives. They are encouraged to be themselves and to make the world a better place.
My students are 7th and 8th graders in a public K-8 school in New Haven, CT.
They each explore topics about World Cultures and US History throughout the year. Time spent in my class is dedicated to learning skills they need to help them succeed in high school and beyond.
My Project
In our school, we now have one-to-one Chromebooks in our classrooms to integrate technology into our lessons. This is an incredible advantage, but sometimes they also need to listen to learn.
In many of the activities created sound is necessary to the activity, so having headphones would add to the significance of the task at hand.
In my class, we've done interactive Google presentations that include sound effects, we complete WebQuests that include video or sound clips, and conduct research. These headphones would be more sanitary than earbuds, and because they're larger, it's easier for the teacher to keep track of them.
