My Project

Band is a class in which the teacher and students must listen in various ways: listening to themselves play, listening to teacher feedback, or listening to recordings of professional ensembles, it is important for the band classroom to have a sound system which can provide high quality audio at a wide range of volumes. It is beneficial for students to hear a variety of sounds while they play: the clicking beat of a metronome, the constant drone of a piano to help students play in tune, or a microphone system so the teacher can actively give feedback as students are playing.

These Yamaha speakers will play many roles throughout each of my band classes every day; the most important role is that of allowing students to easily receive important information while they play.

With these speakers, students will be able to play in time, listen more closely to professional ensembles and match their quality of sound, and listen/sing/play with our piano and other musical devices. As our band program continues to flourish, these speakers will serve our program for many years to come.
