My Project

Many students have differing abilities within the classroom, and some need special accommodations, as dictated in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). I am in need of a classroom set of headphones for students to use during assignments and texting that will allow them to have the computer read to them and for them to respond verbally with the computer transcribing for them. These accommodations are know as Text to Speech, and Speech to Text, and they help students that struggle to read the words on a page, but understand fully when it is read aloud to them. This also supports students that have difficulty writing, generally due to motor skills, and they can speak into the microphone and have the computer do the writing for them! Students that are learning to speak English will also utilize these resources to improve and build on their knowledge of English.
