My Project

The students in my classes use laptops every day, but we have very few inexpensive earbuds, and none of them have microphones. Headphones with microphones are essential for making progress in every subject at school. It is obvious that technology is critical for living and prospering in the world today.

Students use their laptops for math, ELA, our Rural Life Lab, and Problem-Based Learning projects.

They also use the headphones for their enrichments and their Return to Intervention work. Most recently, they have been engaged in learning new languages! Headphones with microphones are imperative in learning languages to focus listening and allow for immersive learning and pronunciation practice. All of these facilitate comprehension and fluency.

Our small, rural elementary school has a substantial percentage of students who are economically disadvantaged. I will use every (and any!) tool that I can to help my students succeed. And right now, those tools are headphones with microphones. Please help my students Listen, Learn, Speak, and Grow!
