Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember your parents reading to you before you went to bed each night, or reading to your own child? Many of my students do not experience this at home. This project will allow my students to hear fluent readers, read each and every day.

My students are part of a very economically disadvantaged school and community.

They come from very poor homes from parents with little to no education. They are surrounded by crime and scenes that they should not have to witness each day. They come to school to get away from their daily stressors and are welcomed with open arms!

My Project

These books will help them learn the joy of reading and escape from their real lives even if it's just for a moment! They will discover the joy of being read to and the wonderful world of their own imaginations. Everyone loves to hear Dr. Seuss' silly rhyming stories!

Changing a child's life is as easy as a few minutes of being read to.

Having access to the books on CD will do just that! These books will help the children escape from reality and will encourage them to learn to read on their own!
