My Students

Where would you be if there was no such thing as kindergarten? Entering kindergarten may be the first time children will be away from parents and immediate care givers but it is also the most exciting time for children and teachers. Students begin to develop their minds and social skills.

Our school is located in Los Angeles and is classified as a low-income school.

My 26 kindergarten students come to class eager and ready to learn everyday despite the activity that occurs outside the fences of the schoolyard. The spirit and energy the children bring can uplift anyone's spirit no matter the mood. This year's class is truly an exceptional one, although every educator would say that, it is true in this case. My 26 inspirational kindergarten students are always eager to absorb knowledge and willing to accept and achieve any goals set in front of them.

My Project

We are unable to use the Cd's that accompany the read along books with our current equipment. With the audio/visual center I'm requesting the children will be able to interact with the current curriculum. Not only will the addition of the equipment benefit the children but the enthusiasm of a new piece of equipment will energize and help quench the thirst for knowledge.

The addition of the a brand new listening center will bring so much excitement to the classroom.

It will engage the students and bring out the reader in each of the them. However, I feel the greatest message would be that there are people out there that care and are willing to support and provide them with the tools to be successful.
