Listening Ears Need Headsets and CD Player

My students need a CD player, with 6 headsets and a stereo splitter.

My classroom is multifunctional and an excellent learning environment for all students. My students are in the third grade in New Jersey and a handful of my students are ESL (English as a Second Language). All of my students, especially the ESL students, need a hands on approach that will foster learning and ease them into the topics or subjects at hand.

In order for my ESL students to enhance their reading comprehension grades, they need to be able to listen to the stories that we have on CD. The students will be able to listen first hand to the English language and it will be easier for them to understand. The more English the students can hear one-on-one, the better their chances are for comprehending our language.

I need a CD Player that has a hook-up for multiple head phones so that a handful of my students can listen to the same story at the same time. The students will also need new headphones. Our headphones are extremely old and fall off the children's heads as they are trying to listen to the stories.

Your donation will help ensure that students who do not speak English as their first language will have a better grasp on speaking English. Your generous contribution will allow all of my students to have an excellent learning center that fosters reading comprehension as well as phonics and spelling.
