This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would love my Kindergarteners develop a love for reading with having a fun listening center that they can use on their own. Language acquisition is a huge part of how students learn to read. They then gain language comprehension through exposure and listening to stories.

Many of my students only get to hear stories while in my class and not at home.

I’d love for them to have access to stories with this Tonies for Teachers Audio Player Starter Kit with Pete The Cat, Healthy Habits, Laurie Berkner, National Geographic Dinosaur, and Yeti during their independent time at school.

I would love to create a wide variety of stories in our listening section using the Tonie box and various Tonie Characters.
