My Students

Bring our classroom into the 21st century! To my students, the cassette player in our listening center may as well be an 8-track.

The students in my classroom attend a school in Southwest Virginia.

They began first grade this year at varying levels, and I need many different materials so I may continue to challenge and engage all of them. My students love hands-on materials, technology, and working together.

My Project

I am requesting books and ipods to change the way our listening center works. With these materials, students will be able to listen to newer books titles, which they helped me choose. The cordless ipods will allow my students to choose their favorite spot in the room to listen to a good story, and be much more engaging than the cassette player we use now.

This is my second year teaching and my first year teaching first grade.

Donations to my classroom will be used this year and hopefully for many, many years to come. Please help these students start their school lives off with a love of reading.
